Charles Stone during an Elvis Concert in the 70s

My Years With Elvis And The Colonel by Charles Stone which is definitively the very first book about 'Elvis & The Colonel' that is written by a guy who was there. The storyline is based on Charles' memories, unlike some previous Colonel books that were based on false assumptions and fabricated stories told by a third party. We all know that with the passing of Colonel Parker in 1997, not only the person of Colonel Parker was gone forever, but also gone were all of his memories. During his lifetime, neither 'the Colonel' nor his righthand man, Tom Diskin wrote a book about the times with Elvis.

Charles Stone is the missing link! He worked for Concerts West and was in charge of all the mayor acts at the time. Tom Jones, Frank Sinatra, to Led Zepelin the list is endless.

His inside view on all three parties, Concerts West, Colonel Parkers Operations and the Elvis Organtistion is unique.

So many books are written about Elvis but none of them highlights this part of the story.

How the tours are organised and prepared when Elvis storming through what was later called the Concert years.

Our Author Sandi Pichon ( Raised on Elvis ) was friend with Charles Stone for many Years. After we produced and published her bestseller Elvis on Tour 75 she make sure that Charles Stone enters the Praytome Publishing family and the rest is history.

We traveled to Dallas and start working with him on different projects. Working with him was a real pleasure. Charles is still a very busy man traveling the world for his personal appearences and tours he produced for mayor acts.

The outcome of that colaboration is amazing. The books is like nothing else in the Elvisworld.

The book provides an amazing glimpse of the inside work of the Elvis organisation and last not least the private person known by the entire world as “the Colonel”

Charles Stone, who was born November 8, 1943, and grew up in Wichita Falls, Texas, didn't know when he started to work for Concerts West, that one day he would work with Colonel Parker and the Elvis entourage. As tour producer for the Elvis Presley Tours in the 1970's, Charles Stone also worked closely with Colonel Tom Parker. His inside view of the business details of the Colonel and how to manage and handle the Elvis deals was something special.

Charles was one of the few members who was inducted into the Colonel's 'Snowman's League' - a mysterious accommodation of the Colonel. Still 'Taking Care Of Business' in the Elvis world, tour producer, Charles Stone, shares his memories with Elvis fans worldwide. Along with Charles' memories, the book will present a number of private shots of Elvis on stage, a look 'behind the wall' at the Colonel's private home in Palm Springs, rare shots of the sound systems, speakers and mixing boards taken and contributed by sound engineer, Bruce Jackson, and, of course, paperwork. For the very first time, Charles Stone opens his original tour books, showing you reprinted documents and paperwork that gives you an inside view as you have never before had into the details of how the tours were produced and how things were arranged.

General Information on Trailers

In general fans collect (and Elvis fans are no exception) every little piece of their star. That doesn't only concern print media. They also collect commercial trailers from the TV and even documentaries where their star is only mentioned. Unfortunately the biggest star has to live with the worst marketing.

And when the fan has the luck to get a clip on an Elvis production it is often cheap produced without love, what actually doesn't accord to the artist Elvis Presley. Here, the "Behind The Image Team" goes a different way. The trailer produced by them do not only advertise a product, but they were levied to an art form. They are unusual complex (q.v. the trailer of BTI 3 and the trailer of the book "Born To Rock") and show the love to the detail and the professionalism every product of "Bud Glass Productions" and Praytome Publishing has got. That's why the whole Elvis world is looking forward in advance to every new trailer giving an insight of the newest product.

Here we want to offer you the trailer to the according product you are interested in for download. Don't miss the trailers of our other releases. You find them on the left in the menu by clicking the desired product.

Please note that the according trailers are always clips in the so called web quality (for quicker downloading). So the quality does never show the quality of the DVD/book.

Of course you'll also find all available trailers in the bonus material section (on the medium DVD) in DVD quality.

A lot of costumers attested us in their numerous E-Mails and letters that the trailers are the best the existing in the Elvis world and some even said that only the trailers were worth the money for the DVD. Q.v. "In The Press"!

So now lean back and PUMP UP the volume of your speakers :-)
